Financial Resources

We encourage students to meet with us in person regularly to discuss academic development and financial resources. The SSS Canvas site, available to current SSS participants, also provides information about academic and financial resources.

Federal, State and University Financial Resources

Please make sure you have your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) submitted prior to February 15. This form MUST be completed EVERY academic year. Please contact the financial aid office with any questions or for assistance with filling out the FAFSA. Go to the U.S. Dept of Education's FAFSA website to fill out your form. The FAFSA becomes available October 1.

Maryland residents need to have the FAFSA (see above) submitted to be considered for state aid. Please check out the Maryland Higher Education Commission website for additional information including signing on to the MD CAPS System for applying and accepting Maryland State grants and scholarships.

Frostburg State University students may take advantage of the numerous institutional and departmental scholarships offered through the University. Visit the FSU Scholarships & Grants page for further information.
